An unusual vegetable which can be used especialy in raw state (because the leaves do NOT burn and have NOT any non-stinging hairs at all, so they can be used as excellent salad vegetable). They tastes delicious! The species grows only in Northern areas, 60 degree longitude or even more than North. This is accession from Northern Norway. The plants only grow to about 1 meter tall, but they branch out profusely and produce an abundance of delicious leaves. An additional advantage is that this nettle blooms late (in our country, it's not yet in bloom by mid-July), which means it's available for harvesting for a long time (as is well known, nettle leaves are harvested only before flowering). This species is extremelly frost hardy. The seeds very hard to find in trading - we are probably first sellers of the seeds of this unusual nettle in history. ...this seems to be one of so called "plants' Saint Graals" - the species almost not possible to getting... The seeds probably need a cold (8 weeks of cold stratification or sowing in cool place in autumn, winter or maybe early spring) to germination. Sow the seeds surface. Package 50 fresh seeds (harvested in end of Summer 2024).
