Lanceleaf Ground Cherry (Physalis lanceifolia) - tasty fruit - 30 fresh seeds
This is annual branched and spreading herb to 2ft (=60cm) tall. The flowers are small, whitish-yellow and created on very long pedicels (elongated to 2inch = 5cm in fruits). It can be grown as common tomatoes. It ripens fast (within about 4 months from seed to first ripe fruits and about 5 months to all ripe fruits). The delicious fruits are enclosed in inflated calyx (which is inedible), green, slightly aromatic, not sweet, with sticky skin - can be used as tomatillos (vegetable) or a snack. All other parts of plant are poisonous (except ripe fruits). Rarity in trading. The wild accession origin to California. Package 30 seeds (harvested in September 2019 from my garden).
