Wild Manchurian apricot (Armeniaca mandshurica) - 8 seeds
This is a wild apricot species native to northern China. Unlike cultivated apricots, it is very frost-hardy and more disease-resistant. The fruit is small but very aromatic. The Manchurian apricot is sometimes cultivated as a fruit tree (fruit for fresh eating or for making excellent liqueurs, preserves, etc.) or used as a highly valued rootstock for grafting cultivated apricots. Seeds should be sown outdoors in autumn or in a cool cellar, or alternatively cold stratified in moist sand in the fridge for 2-3 months. They were harvested from our garden in the Summer of 2025. A packet of 8 large seeds is available for sale.
