Dwarf Mulberry (Morus australis) - 12 seeds

This is a dwarf, scrubby species of mullberry native to China, Bhutan, India, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, Nepal, and Sikkim. Frost-hardy at least to zone 6. Dioecious. Our shrubs are over 10 years old and are about 2 meters tall and wide. The fruits are very delicious. Aromatic and sweet, but with a distinct acidity (not inspid, like common mullberries). Seeds should be stratified over winter in moist sand in the refrigerator, or sown in a cool cellar in the fall (for spring germination). Rarity in the trading. Packet of 12 fresh seeds.
