Tomato 'Little Victor' - (Solanum pimpinellifolium x peruvianum x pennellii) (F2) - 12 seeds
This variety was created by crossing a wild redcurrant tomato (Solanum pimpinellifolium) with a hybrid we created of two other wild tomato species – the Peruvian tomato (S. peruvianum) and the "Pennellii" tomato (S. pennellii). We've already sown F2 seeds, and the resulting plants were very uniform, but we don't know what the results will be in subsequent generations (and the stability of this variety is also unknown). The plant is self-compatible, so a single plant is sufficient for fruiting. The fruit of this variety is approximately 1-1.5 cm (0.4-0.6 in) in size. A distinctive feature is the presence of bracts in some inflorescences – a trait derived from the Peruvian tomato and the "Pennellii" tomato. 'Little Victor' (in Polish language 'Wikuś')nhas 100% of its genes derived from wild tomatoes. Here we offer seeds that will produce F2 generation plants. The photos show F1 plants—those that produced F2 seeds. The F1 plants were quite resistant to late blight, but not completely. We don't know what the results will be in subsequent generations. Creating this variety took a lot of work and time. The flavor of this variety's fruit is similar to that of regular tomatoes, but better. If you're passionate about growing unusual tomato varieties, you've come to the right place. This is our new creation—we are the only sellers of this variety. The package contains 12 fresh seeds.
