Garden Nightshade 'TADEO' (Solanum nodiflorum) - Mexican heirloom variety- 20 seeds
Other name: Solanum americanum subsp. nodiforum
This is a vegetable variety of the nigtshade species (S. nodiflorum), traditionally used as fruit and vegetale plant in Mexico. Young shoots and leaves are boiled in two or three times changed waters and eaten similarly to spinach. This variety is smaller than Filipino one (look at other our offer) but creates much more fruits - it is more fruity variety (less spinach) Not every other Solanum nodiflorum variety is edible. The fruits are often eaten as a snack when fully ripe. They are small but extremely sweet. Once ripe, they fall to the ground. This variety is very rarely found in the trade. We obtained it many years ago from the Mexico and are striving to preserve and propagate it, as it has very valuable characteristics. The seeds should be sown very shallowly. Grow like tomatoes. Package of 20 fresh seeds (harvested in the fall of 2025).
