This variety was developed through further breeding, from a hybrid we created of three other wild tomato species and a wild form of the cultivated tomato (four species in total). We don't know the stability of this hybrid. The plant is self-incompatible, so at least two plants (from two seeds) are required for fruiting. The fruit of this variety is approximately 1.5 cm (0.6 inch) in size. They are yellow and have a very unique flavor—completely different from known tomato varieties and truly DELICIOUS. 'Blond Smurfina' has only 12.5% ​​genes derived from the cultivated tomato (Solanum lycopersicon). Besides its unique flavor, our hybrid also possesses other remarkable traits inherited from the wild species, such as the presence of flower buds in the inflorescence and resistance to many diseases, including potato blight (we don't know how these traits will persist in subsequent generations). Here we offer seeds that will produce F2 generation plants. The photos show F1 plants—those that produced F2 seeds. Creating this variety took a lot of work. It's worth trying the fruit—the taste is truly indescribable, unique, and delicious (and different than other our varieties - for example 'Smart Blondie' and 'Braliant Idiot').
