Japanese False Groundcherry (Physaliastrum japonicum) - 12 seeds
A perennial native to Japan, it produces white berries surrounded by a greenish, spiny calyx. These are said to be edible when fully ripe (but caution is advised). A rarity, difficult to find in Europe. Seeds should be sown in autumn in a cool cellar, or stratified in damp sand in the refrigerator. Alternatively, they can be soaked in a solution of the GA3 hormone (2000 ppm for 12 hours). Packet of 12 fresh seeds. Only a few packets are available.
