Shepherd's Needle, little-fruited (Scandix pecten-veneris ssp. brachycarpa) - 12 seeds
This is a rare, endangered weed. In southern Europe, it is valued as a vegetable—much like the well-known parsley. This subspecies produces seeds with a very short beak (the fruit of the typical form is often several centimeters long, while this subspecies is only about 1 cm long). It is simply a rare, small-seeded taxon. The seeds are sown directly in their permanent location and do not require any pre-sowing treatment for germination. A packet of 12 fresh seeds is available for sale. Only a few packets are available for sale.
