Perennial Corn, Perennial Teosinte (Zea diploperennis) - 5 seeds
A perennial from Mexico. Unfortunately, it doesn't tolerate severe frosts, but in subtropical climates with dry winters, it grows as a perennial for many years. Our seeds are a unique form that contains approximately 87.5% of genes of Zea diploperennis and 12.5% common corn (Zea mays). This is a selected variety that flowers and produces fruit in Central Europe during summer (i.e., during long days). Pure, 100% Zea diploperennis flowers only during short days, when frost has already set in in Central Europe, making its cultivation impossible here. Seeds should be sown in early spring in pots and transplanted outdoors after the last frost. Some seeds are whitish, others black, but both color types are viable. We sell a pack of 5 seeds. We have a limited supply of these packs, so we encourage you to order while they last.
