Japanese cousin of Bittersweet Nightshade (Solanum megacarpum) - 10 seeds
This plant is similar to the well-known European sweet nightshade (S. dulcamara), but with larger fruit (up to 1.5 cm long). It originates from Japan, where it is rarely found. It requires specific growing conditions – acidic and constantly moist soil. It is not easy to germinate, but the seeds are new and viable. We sowed them without any pre-sowing treatments, but germination took quite a while and only occurred at a certain percentage. It is likely that cold stratification or autumn sowing will yield better results. This plant is extremely rare in commercial production. Packet of 10 seeds (harvested in 2025). Only a few packages available.
