Cutleaf Hawthorn (Crataegus laciniata) - 15 seeds

A shrub or small ornamental and fruit tree. Fruit is produced abundantly. They are large for a hawthorn and have a pleasant aroma. They are slightly tart, excellent as a dessert fruit or as a raw material for making jams, wines, etc. Like other hawthorns, they are heart-healthy. Each fruit contains five seeds, but when eaten, they stick together like a single drupelet, making them easier to consume. Seeds should be sown in pots in autumn in a cool cellar or stratified in moist sand in the fridge. A packet of 15 fresh seeds (harvested in September 2025) is available for sale.
