Sweet cherry 'Kasia' (Cerasus avium) - for kirsch - 12 seeds

The wild-found form of cherry whose fruit doesn't fall off after ripening, but dries on the branches. We named it 'Kasia'("Kate"). For this reason, these fruits can be an extremely valuable raw material for kirsch. They are exceptionally sweet and aromatic, as they ripen and dry on the tree. It seems that this characteristic may be constant from seed, as the discovered population consists of a whole group of trees – smaller and larger (older and younger, as if seedlings from the first tree). These trees are also slightly smaller than typical cherries, but have a rather upright, slender habit. Seeds should be sown in the garden or a cool cellar in autumn, or cold stratified.
