Hybrid of hardy tamarillo (Solanum corymbiflorum x diploconos) 'Pinczow 2' x 'Pinczow 7' (BC1xBC1)- 1 seedling in a pot

The hybrid seedling (hand-pollinated) of the two tastiest varieties from the "Pinczow Group" - 'Pinczow 2' ('Pinczow Springs') [BC1 - (Solanum corymbiflorum x diploconos) x corymbiflorum)] and 'Pinczow 7' [BC1 - (Solanum corymbiflorum x diploconos) x corymbiflorum)] 'Both varieties had delicious fruit - completely free of tartness (unfortunately 'Pinczow 7' was more sensitive to frost and froze to death it in our unheated greenhouse, so already does not exists). This hybrid has 75% Solanum corymbiflorum genes and 25% S. diploconos (so it can be classified as a 'Pinczow Group'). It is probably frost-resistant, but it is not yet known how strong it is (probably each seedling will be different, because by crossing BC1 with another BC1, a very diverse range of plants is obtained among the offspring, due to the splitting of traits. Also, the diversity of fruit taste, frost resistance, growth strength, etc. can be very large among these seedlings. Nevertheless, it is a directed hybrid of some of the best varieties, so you can expect very valuable seedlings (in most cases). Each such successful seedling can become a new, vegetatively propagated variety. In sale there is1 seedling (obtained from seed) in a pot of about 0.7 liters is for sale. Only one such plant is available. We would like to add that the price is high, because it is a unique combination that was difficult for us to obtain, and the seeds germinated in a very low percentage.
