Dwarf Groundcherry (Physalis micrantha) ex Japan - 20 seeds
Other name: Physalis minima
A low, spreading annual plant with procumbent stems, small flowers, and very small fruit. It grows wild throughout Southeast Asia, but the variety sold here is from Japan. The fruit is a tiny purple berry surrounded by small, swollen calyxes. It has a tart flavor. This species should not be confused with Physalis angulata (also sometimes described under the synonym Physalis minima)—these are two completely different species. Rarity in trading. The seeds do not require any pre-sowing treatment. They should be sown surface-sown. Grow them similarly to tomatoes. The package contains 20 fresh seeds.
