Wild Mountain Tamarillo (Solanum unilobum) (tree tomato species) - 10 seeds
Wild Mountain Tamarillo (Solanum unilobum = Cyphomandra uniloba) is native to South America (Bolivia). It is a small tree, usually about 1.5-2 m tall (5-6 ft), that produces tasty, gently acid fruit (more delicious than the common Tamarillo - Solanum betaceum). It is probably not resistant to frost. This species can hybridize with Solanum betaceum. It also has great ornamental potential. This plant can be easily propagated from seed (surface sowing). This species is very difficult to buying and rare in the wild state.
Package 10 fresh seeds available. Seeds should be sown shallowly and kept in a slightly moist and warm place. They usually germinate within 1-1.5 months.
