Wild Fennel Flower, Field Nigella (Nigella arvensis) - 12 seeds
This charming annual, cold-hardy plant grows wild in Poland. It's very rare. We've only encountered it once. This plant is captivating with its remarkable beauty, and its seeds can be used as a spice (for example, for bread or cheese)—just like its relative, black cumin. It's also a medicinal plant. This is a real rarity—very difficult to find in the wild and even more difficult to find commercially. Seeds should be sown in early spring in a permanent location in the garden. It prefers plenty of light and alkaline, well-drained soil. It's very easy to grow and usually self-seeds, reappearing in subsequent years. Packet of 12 fresh seeds. Only a few packets are available.
