It is a frost-hardy perennial (at least down to Zone 5) reaching approximately 50–70 cm in height, featuring long, narrow leaves and producing an abundance of delicious fruit. It originates from North America (specifically, this accession comes from Kansas). It thrives in partial shade or full sun and requires well-drained soil, preferably loamy.
